St. Peter’s College hosted Opportunities Edge on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, our annual one-day career expo, which welcomed high school students and the public.

The event featured regional and national employers, as well as premier post-secondary institutions from Western Canada. Opportunities Edge provided a valuable platform for youth and adults to explore a wide range of post-secondary, trade, and career opportunities. Local employers and industry experts were also present to discuss employment options.

One of the highlights was the return of the Counsellors’ Connection, where career counselors from the Horizon School Division offered valuable information and support to secondary students transitioning to post-secondary education and the workforce. With nearly 50 presenters and over 500 students in attendance, Opportunities Edge once again proved to be the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind in the region.

The event gave students insights into various career paths, whether they were considering post-secondary education or entering the workforce directly. It was open to the public from 12:30 to 2:30, allowing anyone interested in exploring career options to visit the College and discover the diverse opportunities available.
