The BHP Jansen Project Scholarship Programs are offering scholarships to students graduating soon, under 30, or current post-secondary students. All questions should be directed to scholarships@carltontrailcollege.com.Â
The scholarship program was created to support local students who are starting their journey through postsecondary education. Since 2012, BHP has awarded over $647,000 in scholarships to 249 student recipients.Â
The deadline for all BHP scholarship applications was June 15 2023.
The deadline for all  SPC scholarship applications was June 20, 2023.
The deadline for most USask continuing student scholarship applications was June 1, 2023.
Current Grade 12 Information
The 2023 BHP High School Scholarship program is now open offering scholarships to upcoming graduates.
Applicant must be from a participating school / community / First Nation including:
Eligible schools, communities and First Nations include: Annaheim; Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation; Day Star First Nation; Englefeld; Fishing Lake First Nation; George Gordon First Nation; Humboldt; Imperial; Kawacatoose First Nation; Lanigan; LeRoy; Muenster; Muskowekwan First Nation; Punnichy; Quill Lake; Raymore; Watrous; Watson; and Wynyard.
Applicant must be:
Graduating from Grade 12 in June 2023 and will be attending a post-secondary program at a University, College or Technical Institution in 2023-2024 as a full-time student
Requirements:
- Must complete in full and submit the scholarship application and supporting documents on or prior to the application deadline.
- A copy of the high school or completion transcript must be included, including a list of classes currently enrolled in (provided by and endorsed by the school or relevant institution).
- Submit one (1) letter of reference.
- Provide proof of Band/First Nation membership, if applicable.
- Must submit proof of post-secondary acceptance in accredited University, College or Technical Institution for 2021/2022 (2022/2023) year as a full-time student (followed by confirmation of enrolment).
- Selected scholarship recipients must provide their Social Insurance Number for income tax purposes prior to funds being released.

Under 30 & Attending Post-Secondary
If you are pursuing post-secondary education or training, you may be eligible for an award, bursary or scholarship. These awards can help pay for expenses associated with pursuing an education such as tuition, fees, books and housing.
