Ugo Ojiagu Biology

Office Hours: Tuesdays, 1pm-3pm
Ugo Ojiagu is a sessional lecturer with the Department of Biology at the University of Saskatchewan beginning from Term 2 of 2019-2020, which is also his first term at St. Peter’s College. He has spent most of his academic life, both as a graduate student and instructor, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria, where he earned his PhD in Environmental Microbiology. He is from Nigeria and moved to Canada in 2018 to pursue postdoctoral research opportunities in environmental metagenomics.

Over the half of a decade Ugo spent at Nnamdi Azikiwe University as a faculty member, he tutored undergrads and grad students in several biological science and lab modules. The very nature of life, abundance and, sometimes, puzzling diverse biological relationships are the most intriguing aspects of science to him. It is this enthralling experience that he hopes students taking the Biology 121 course will take with them at the end of term.

Above all, there's no greater joy for Ugo beyond the singular act of meeting students and helping them chart their own life's course through the instruction of biological science. If anytime you have any question or concerns, do not hesitate for a second to swing by the office, or call or email (whichever is most convenient for you).

So, winter class of BIOL 121.3 (2020), Ugo looks exceedingly forward to meeting you.
