Join us as we showcase a testimonial every Tuesday. This week's alumni testimonial is Jessi Sperling, a student who studied at St. Peter's College for two years during the 2017-2018 & 2018-2019 academic terms. During her years at SPC, Jessi was very successful in her classes and was often top of the class.
When asked about her thoughts of St. Peter's College, Jessi provided the following:
"My name is Jessi Sperling, I am from Humboldt and I took my first two years of Arts and Science at St. Peter’s College.
I chose to begin my university studies at St. Peter’s College because it was very close to home, felt less intimidating than the main campus, and because I was initially planning on applying into pharmacy and wanted to keep my grades as high as possible.
Some things I enjoyed at St. Peter’s College were the small class sizes and having professors who were willing to go the extra mile to help their students. One of my biggest fears while heading into University was the change in expectations on assignments, papers, and exams but the professors were fair markers who gave encouraging feedback and were always willing to meet outside of class time to help.
I chose to take my second year at St. Pete’s because there were still enough courses offered there that I needed to take so I wanted to keep taking advantage of the small class sizes and professors that loved teaching, both of which created an excellent learning environment."
