To celebrate the end of the academic year, St. Peter’s College hosted a lively Tiki Party on April 7th in the student lounge, giving students a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy a well-deserved break after a busy semester.

A Tropical Escape Right on Campus

The student lounge was transformed into a vibrant island getaway, filled with tropical décor and beach-inspired details. From colorful accents to playful touches like pink flamingos scattered throughout the space, the atmosphere instantly set the tone for a fun and carefree evening.

One of the highlights of the night was the large tiki bar, which quickly became a central gathering spot for students. To complete the experience, each student was welcomed with a traditional luau, adding to the festive spirit from the moment they arrived. Paired with upbeat tropical music, the entire space felt energetic and full of life.

Activities That Kept the Energy High

The event featured a variety of interactive activities that kept students engaged throughout the evening. Popular games like island pong and flip cup drew enthusiastic participation, with tables rarely empty as students joined in on the fun.

For those looking for something more relaxed and creative, bracelet making turned out to be a big hit, giving students a chance to unwind and create something memorable. The classic limbo challenge also brought plenty of laughs and friendly competition.

A Snack Shack Full of Favorites

No celebration is complete without great food, and the Tiki Party delivered. The Snack Shack offered a wide variety of treats, including fruit skewers, shrimp, and pizza, all of which were quickly enjoyed by students throughout the night.

Additional snacks like chips and dip, candy, and cookies kept everyone fueled as the evening went on. On the drinks side, piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris were clear crowd favorites, especially served with fun umbrella straws. Mai tais, pop, and juices rounded out the menu, ensuring there was something for everyone.
