St. Peter’s College Reunion 2025: Celebrating 100 Years and Beyond

Celebrating St. Peter’s College’s 100+ Year Reunion

On July 26–27, 2025, the St. Peter’s College gymnasium came alive with joy, laughter, and nostalgia as alumni gathered to celebrate more than 100 years of history. This milestone reunion honored the remarkable legacy begun by the Benedictine Monks of St. Peter’s Abbey and brought together generations of students whose lives were shaped by their time at the College.

A Warm Welcome

Nearly 100 alumni attended the weekend celebration, including our oldest guest, who graduated high school in 1951 after attending St. Peter’s in the 1940s. Some alumni traveled from different parts of the country, while one made the longest journey, joining us all the way from Australia. The gymnasium was beautifully decorated, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the weekend.

Sharing Stories and Sweet Treats

Throughout the event, the air was filled with the sound of old friends reconnecting, sharing stories, and reliving treasured memories. One highlight was the afternoon treat of apple pie and ice cream Abbot Peter’s favorite dessert, graciously provided by the College in his honor. It was enjoyed by all and added a sweet personal touch to the gathering.

Looking Back Through Time

Guests had the opportunity to explore the College archives, leafing through records and watching slideshows of past photographs. These captured moments of alumni in classrooms, on athletic fields, and on stage in musical performances. For many, it was a moving walk down memory lane.

Honoring Our Founders and Teachers

The reunion banquet on Saturday evening was a centerpiece of the celebration. Along with a wonderful meal, the program honored past teachers and the Benedictine Monks whose vision and perseverance made St. Peter’s College possible. The gratitude and respect expressed reflected the deep bonds that continue to unite the community.

A Faithful Conclusion

On Sunday morning, alumni gathered with the Benedictine Monks for Mass. Archbishop Weisgerber delivered a powerful homily on community, service, and the enduring gift of the Benedictine tradition. Following Mass, coffee and muffins were shared in the gym as friends bid one another farewell.

A Weekend to Remember

The reunion weekend was filled with heartfelt connections, cherished traditions, and new memories that will last a lifetime. From laughter and storytelling to prayer and reflection, it was a true celebration of the spirit of St. Peter’s College.
