As the only medical school in Saskatchewan, the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan has a responsibility to serve the residents of the province. As such, 90% of first-year positions are reserved for Saskatchewan residents.
To apply for the college of medicine students must have completed a 4 year Baccalaureate Degree and have written the MCAT. Please see the College of Medicine website for further details about the application process. While prerequisite courses are not mandatory, applicants are encouraged to complete similar/equivalent courses (introductory level Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Statistics, Sociology, and Psychology) to ensure readiness for the basic sciences covered in the first two years of the undergraduate medical curriculum and to prepare for the MCAT as well. All listed courses are available at St. Peter's College.
